Janick Gers
He was born in Great Britain in 1957. Gers was the guitarist of the band White Spirit, later joining Ian Gillan’s band Gillan, formed by the former vocalist of Deep Purple. After Gillan rejoined Deep Purple, his band was disbanded. Janik became a member of the band Gogmagog. In 1990 he participated in the recording of Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson’s album Tattooed Millionaire. During the recording of this album he was invited to audition for Iron Maiden where he replaced guitarist Adrian Smith. Since 1990 Janik is the guitarist in the band.
