Jeff Hanneman

Born in the USA in 1964. Guitarist, one of the founders of American thrash metal band Slayer. The band was founded in 1981. Slayer is considered one of the best thrash metal bands, especially after the release of their album Reign in Blood (1986), which is considered the band’s best achievement and a thrash metal classic. They have also influenced many death and black metal bands. Jeff was one of the main authors of the band’s best action songs.

On May 2, 2013 Jeff Hanneman died of liver failure. As doctors stated, it may have been a consequence of a spider bite in 2011. He was 49 years old. The official cause of death was cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol abuse.
