The band has shared a video on their social media accounts talking about their impending return to concert venues. The clip was uploaded to social media just hours before it was announced that Pantera will play its first concerts in more than 20 years in December 2022, starting with a joint headlining performance at Mexico’s Hell & Heaven Metal Fest, followed by performances at three Knotfest festivals in South America.

Pantera announced their first four concerts in 2022

Pantera, which currently includes vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, along with Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, have announced their first four reunion concerts in 2022. Three of them will take place at Knotfest in Colombia, Knotfest in Chile and Knotfest in Brazil this December. At all three concerts, Pantera performs alongside fellow headliners Slipknot, Judas Priest and Bring Me The Horizon.

Knotfest in Colombia will take place on December 9 at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín stadium in Bogotá, Knotfest in Chile will take place on December 11 at the Santiago stadium, and Knotfest in Brazil will take place on December 18 at the Sambódromo do Anhembi stadium in São Paulo. One interesting thing to note about the Knotfest posters is that they use the classic Pantera logo, and nothing about it being a tribute or celebration.

Pantera has also been announced as one of the headliners for the first night of Hell & Heaven Metal Fest, to be held December 2 in Foro Pegaso, Mexico.
