Slipknot new single Bone Church 2023

The band Slipknot unexpectedly unveiled their new single Bone Church along with a video, which you can watch below. As explained by one of the band members, and also the director of the new music video, Shawn “Clown” Crahan, this single has been recorded behind the scenes since the .5: The Gray Chapter tour and has finally been released. But if you’re hoping for some rousing Slipknot music on this song, alas. The new song is at a slow tempo and with muffled vocals. Narrated by Shawn “Clown” Crahan:

On the road, we have a ‘jam room’ set up backstage at every show, where we play, practice, warm up and sometimes try out new ideas. Bone Church started life in a jam room on the .5: The Gray Chapter tour. We’ve been bringing it closer and closer to life ever since, and finally, here it is. This one is for the fans – a further vision deeper into Slipknot’s history, which is still being written. Enjoy.

The band is currently still touring in support of their latest album, “The End, So Far,” which was released Sept. 30 on the Roadrunner Records label. So we’re looking forward to more singles from the “jam-room.” All the more, the release of individual singles is quite in line with Crahan’s vision of the band’s future development. According to him, the band’s new life may be more single-oriented. In other words, absolute albums will become a thing of the past, because the physical product becomes obsolete.
