He was born in the USA in 1968. Skolnick’s teacher was Joe Satriani, from whom Alex studied from the age of 14. He was the guitarist of the bands Testament, Savatage and in Ozzy Osbourne’s band. Member of Metal Allegiance super-group, featuring musicians from such bands as Pantera, Testament, Exodus, Overkill, Machine Head, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Hatebreed, Lamb Of God, Exodus, Lacuna Coil.
